Permissions
Agents ask before they run a command, edit a file or call a tool. In blu the request shows up on the blob (it turns attentive), in the result panel, and by voice — the voice says exactly what the agent wants to do.
Answering a request
Section titled “Answering a request”The request card offers:
| Button | Covers |
|---|---|
| Allow | this request only |
| Always: … | similar requests in this project from now on |
| Everything from <MCP server> | every tool of that MCP server |
| More ▸ Allow everything in the project | every request of the project |
| Deny | refuses this request |
What counts as “similar”
Section titled “What counts as “similar””- the same MCP tool;
- a terminal command with the same program (
git,npm, …); - file edits — any, but only inside the task’s working copy and the project’s folders;
- otherwise the same agent tool or the same kind of action.
Rules belong to the project and outlive the agent’s session. A request a rule covers is approved by blu without bothering you; the task’s progress keeps an “Allowed automatically” line. A new rule also approves matching requests that are already waiting.
Removing a rule
Section titled “Removing a rule”Project editor ▸ Allowed without asking.
